— UPDATE —

Here is the current layout. I have some ideas for the last couple shots. Do you all have any ideas for the cover shot?

Also, offer still stands with models. It can be ANYBODY.

  1. cool.

My advice...YOU be the model for all pics, set your camera up on a timer and just dress the part.
So much easier than depending on other folks.
    See Cindy Sherman.

  2. I like how some of these statements are so random and others are kind of sad in a way. >_<" I agree that it might be easier to just have you in all the pictures since you have access to you 24-7... and it would be interesting I think to see how you, as a person, interpret other people's ideas/memories.

  4. Now that someone has said it, YOU being the model would be great! It would be fantastic to see you acting out the stories. I really like the new statements. Keep up the good work!

  5. The stories are really interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing some strong images to go along with them. What about just photographing the people who said each of these? It would be interesting to put a face to the stories.

  6. i agree with val. and all of my images for my book are by myself with a self timer. ummm but yeah, i like this new title better. keep working on the arrangement of the text. check out ffffound.com another art blog for some cool examples.

  7. yeah eventhough it would be really neat to have the photographs of the people whose stories they belong to I think being in them yourself will workout fine.

  8. Yeah, you are going to have the most control over expression and how you want the subject to convey what is being said. I'm so jealous of your pretty combo of color, font layout.

  9. I agree with val and think you should be the model and re enact each story. also, i think that idea would go well with your cover since your name is used as large as the title of the book. cant wait to c the pics!

  10. I like the new stories you have added. I agree that you should just be the model, you know best how you want everything to look!

  11. These stories are hilarious. I like the idea of using models better-but if not, would you eliminate the names? Also, I'm a fan of the simplicity of your layout.

  12. although it is nice to have differences in the images to convey that these stories came from different people it is also a lot easier to not have to rely on others, as crappy as that is. the layout is working really well and the new title is more indicative of what you are doing in the book.

  13. For models you can try looking into the theater department. There might be actors there who are interested in posing for you. Valerie also makes a good point also of putting yourself in the shots. Your overall idea is coming along great.

  14. The new page layouts are very easy to read and flow really well! I am not sure you could model by yourself for some of these stories. I agree with Nick that perhaps you can recruit drama students for some scenes.

Can't wait to see your vision finalized!

  15. I totally agree with Val! Using yourself as the model is WAY easier than getting others to pose! But whatever you do I'm sure it will be awesome! I'm not crazy about the title "remember when," I think I like "epiphany" better, or something else that maybe goes better with what you're doing. The stories are great!! I can't wait to see more pics! Keep up the great work! :D

  16. Your layouts are very nicely done!:) I'm going to be different and say I'm not sure that I like the idea of you being the model, just because they're not YOUR stories.
